brownies (grain free)

These quick and simple brownies are just the thing if you’re craving a little sweet treat. They are made without flour and bake in under 25 mins. I swear, if you don’t mention that they’re made without flour no one would ever know. I hope you enjoy and be sure to let me know on IG if you try.

Ingredients:

1 cup organic tahini

1/2 cup coconut sugar

2 tablespoons honey

2 eggs

1/2 cup coconut sugar

1/3 cup cacao powder

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 tablespoon oat flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 180C/350F. Line 9x9 baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.

2. In a large bowl, combine tahini, sugar, honey, vanilla, and eggs until smooth. Fold in the cocoa powder, oat flour, salt and baking soda until the batter is smooth. It will be quite thick.

3.Spread the batter evenly into the lined baking pan. I use a rubber spatula with a quick spray of coconut oil if it’s giving you trouble to spread. Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until a knife comes out clean. You should kind of question if they’re done- they are… don’t overbake!!!

4. Remove from the oven and let slightly cool before slicing.

Notes:

The tahini should be runny. Make sure to stir in the jar before use. I like to use the tahini from Trader Joe’s in the glass jar.

You can sub out the honey for maple syrup and the oat flour for almond flour.

Feel free to sprinkle salt flakes on top!!
