benefits of rebounding

A huge component to Corps Technique routine is rebounding, if you’re not familiar with rebounding, it’s essentially bouncing on a mini-trampoline or yoga ball that offers a wide range of benefits that may surprise you. I thought it would be helpful to discuss the numerous benefits of rebounding and why you should consider incorporating it into your wellness routine.

1. Energizes and Uplifts Your Mood

One of the first things you'll notice when you start rebounding is the immediate boost in energy and mood. The rhythmic bouncing and the release of endorphins during exercise can have a powerful impact on your mental well-being. It's a natural way to combat stress, anxiety, and even mild depression, leaving you feeling rejuvenated and more positive.

2. Improved Balance and Coordination

Rebounding requires coordination and balance, as you have to maintain control while bouncing up and down. Over time, this can help improve your overall balance and coordination, reducing the risk of falls and injuries in everyday life.

3. Detoxification and Immune Support

The star of the show, in my opinion, are its effect on your lymphatic system. The gentle bouncing motion stimulates lymphatic flow, aiding in the removal of toxins and waste from your body. This detoxification process not only supports your immune system but can also contribute to clearer skin and improved overall health.

4. Enhanced Bone Density

Weight-bearing exercises are essential for maintaining and improving bone density, which is especially crucial as we age. Rebounding is considered a weight-bearing exercise since you're supporting your body's weight against gravity during each bounce. Regular rebounding can help strengthen your bones and reduce the risk of osteoporosis.

6. Improved Posture and Core Strength

As you bounce on the trampoline, your body automatically engages its core muscles to maintain balance. Over time, this can help strengthen your core, leading to better posture and reduced back pain.

7. Enhanced Circulation

Bouncing promotes circulation throughout your entire body, which can be especially beneficial for those who spend a lot of time sitting or have circulation issues. Improved circulation means more oxygen and nutrients reach your cells, promoting overall health and vitality.

To begin your bounce routine, I recommend starting with the ball. It’s especially beneficial for those just starting with rebounding as it’s more gentle on the joints and more budget friendly.
